The Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) is designed primarily for graduates who wish to increase their knowledge of management theory and practice. The course makes extensive use of case studies, in-house situations and workplace projects with a particular focus on Australia's current economic and social climate.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution plus a minimum of three years relevant employment experience, or an executive certificate offered by this faculty completed with an average grade of credit or above. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of four credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of study. This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the School of Business and Electronic Commerce as to the 2000 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) at the required standard may be eligible for admission to the Master of Management degree offered by the Department of Management, Caulfield campus, or the MBA program offered by Monash Mt Eliza Business School. In some instances, students may be eligible for admission to a masters degree by research.

Course structure

Normally, subjects are completed at a rate of two subjects in each of four successive semesters and each subject involves an average of 12 hours of study per week. Flexibility is ensured by permitting completion of two elective subjects in areas of professional focus.
