Peter Dapiran
The course provides a graduate-level introductory course in logistics
management for non-graduates who have appropriate business experience and
responsibility. The course investigates the central role of supply chain
management in an organisation and the integration of the various logistics
functions in order to reduce business costs and add value to the customer; the
connection between logistics management and marketing strategy is also covered.
The course will provide an avenue for mature-age students without a degree to
obtain or upgrade business knowledge and skills at graduate level.
The course is offered at the Peninsula campus in four intensive one-week study
modules normally over two semesters of part-time study. Admission requirements,
credit for work done previously and progression to further studies are as
stated for executive certificates under the heading 'The graduate program'.
The course consists of four subjects selected from Graduate Diploma in Logistic Management subjects. Normally, these will be completed at a rate of two subjects in each of two successive semesters. Mid-year enrolment is permitted and encouraged.
