Cross-disciplinary knowledge development courses

General information

These courses provide a wide introduction to business analytical thinking and applications in the early part of study (executive certificates, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas) with a more focused problem area emphasis in the second part of studies (relevant postgraduate diploma and masters degree).

Executive certificates

Executive certificates are normally completed in one semester of full-time study or part-time equivalent.
Executive certificates have been introduced by the faculty to allow entry for experienced managers without a first degree who have at least six years relevant employment experience. Executive certificates provide articulation opportunities into graduate diplomas for students who attain an average grade of credit or above throughout their studies.

Admission requirements

Applicants must:

Credit for work done previously

Candidates may be eligible for credit exemptions for subjects considered by the course director to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of study.

Progression to further studies

Students who complete an executive certificate with an average grade of credit or above are eligible to apply for admission to a range of graduate diplomas offered by the faculty. Students may apply for credit exemptions up to a maximum of four subjects towards the relevant graduate diploma depending upon the subjects that have been studied in the executive certificate. Students who successfully complete the graduate diploma with an average grade of credit or above may be eligible to continue their studies in a relevant masters by coursework degree.

Fees

All executive certificates are offered on a fee-paying basis and subject fees vary depending upon the campus at which the course is undertaken. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
