This course aims to provide graduates with knowledge and understanding of
graphic design and or multimedia design and the capability to practise as a
designer in that field; skills in design strategy, concept forming, problem
solving, design development and communication; the ability to exercise
imagination and innovation in the development of visual ideas; knowledge and
understanding of the aesthetic aspects of design, graphic design or multimedia
design, and an ability to explore aesthetic resolutions; and a strong focus on
the discipline of graphic design or multimedia.
The course is undertaken over two years part-time.
Applicants should have completed an undergraduate degree with a major study in
one of the relevant fine arts or design disciplines, or equivalent pass degree,
or the Graduate Certificate in Design (Multimedia Design)or (Graphic Design).
Depending upon the number of places available, students may also be required to
submit a portfolio of studio work for selection into the course.
