Course code: JCPEPC * Victorian College of Pharmacy, Parkville campus * Full-fee paying course: subject fee $1200; course fee $4925 * Overseas student subject fee $1350; course fee $5525.

Aims

Prepare a cost effectiveness analysis of a drug.
Apply economic modeling to support the inclusion or exclusion of a drug on a national or hospital formulary.
Design a clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and cost of effectiveness of drugs.
Apply methods of evaluating health and non-health outcome of drug use.

Course structure

The course consists of four (4) subjects offered in a sequence over a twelve (12) month period in four study periods.

Assessment requirements consist of assignments and presentations.

Credits/exemptions

Exemptions based on prior learning will be granted for two (2) subjects only (conditions apply).
