Distance
education students whose enrolment has been finalised may expect their first
package of information to arrive in late January or early February. They will
be sent a publication called 'Distance education general information', a
weekend school timetable for first semester, study materials and network
lists.
This publication includes information about most areas of importance to
distance education students.
The timetable provides details of weekend school classes for first semester (a further timetable for second semester is normally issued in late June). Not all subjects have weekend school classes.
Some or all of your study materials for the first semester will be sent in late January or early February. These materials detail the text requirements, how to contact your subject adviser, assignment deadlines etc. Later mailings spaced about two weeks apart may include extra resource material for the semester's work.
A list of fellow students who have given their consent (on the application for admission form) for their name, telephone number and postcode to be given to other students will be sent to you with the material for each enrolled subject.
