Language and Learning Services Unit


The Language and Learning Services Unit (LLSU) offers programs free of charge to Monash University students who want to improve the quality of their academic performance. Staff are available at all campuses to assist undergraduate and postgraduate students, both native and non-native speakers of English, in improving their written and oral expression, their reading, listening and note-taking and their approaches to study.

Individual consultations

Individual consultations are designed to assist students improve their academic performance. Undergraduate students can make appointments to work intensively on aspects of their English or difficulties with particular assignments. Postgraduate students may obtain feedback on drafts of sections of a thesis, or work on problems with oral or written expression.

Courses

Short courses or workshops are offered at different times in the academic year for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. These courses are publicised through the relevant departments and are free of charge.
