The Alec Masel Prize for Civil Procedure

Awarded by Phillips Fox to the student with the best result in LAW5104 (Civil procedure). Value: $500

The Arthur Andersen Prize for Taxation

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5213 (Taxation). Value: $1000

The Arthur Robinson and Hedderwicks prizes for Company Law

Awarded to the top four students for excellence in LAW5214 (Corporations and business associations law). Value: $250 each

The Australian Finance Conference Prize

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW4109 (Consumer credit) (in each year it is offered), otherwise in either LAW5142 (Insolvency), Law4152 (Commercial and consumer transactions) or LAW7003 (Business finance: law and practice). Value: $400

The Baldwins Prize for Wills, Probate and Administration

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5128 (Wills, probate and administration). Value: $300

The Blake Dawson Waldron Prize for Contract

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW2100 (Contract). Value: $300

The Brian Benjamin Prize for Equity and Trusts

Awarded by Phillips Fox to the student with the best result in LAW4201 (Equity and trusts). Value: $500

Awarded to the students with the best results in LAW2200 (Torts). Value: first prize $300, second prize $200

The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions Prizes

Awarded to the students with the best results in LAW5112 (Federal criminal law). Value: first prize $400, second prize $200

The Corrs Chambers Westgarth Prize for Restrictive Trade Practices

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW2200 (Restrictive trade practices). Value: $200

The Corrs Chambers Westgarth Prize for Intellectual Property

Awarded to the student with the best result in either: LAW5147 (Intellectual property II: patents, trade marks and unfair competition) or LAW5146 (Intellectual property I: copyright, designs and confidential information). In the case where the two subjects are offered in any one year, the prize should be awarded to the student with the best result in either subject. Value: $200

The Ferrier Hodgson Prize for Insolvency

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5142 (Insolvency). Value: $500

The Freehill Hollingdale and Page Prize for Industrial Arbitration

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW4119 (Industrial arbitration). Value: $500

The Freehill Hollingdale and Page Prize for Corporations and Business Associations Law

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5214 (Corporations and business associations law). Value: $500

The Hall and Wilcox Prize for The Lawyer

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5125 (The lawyer). Value: $200

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW4121 (Insurance law) or LAW5105 (Credit and security law). The prize is awarded every second year. Value: $200

Awarded to the student who writes the best final year honours thesis. Value: $1000

Awarded by Phillips Fox to the honours student who writes the best thesis in the area of torts law. Value: $1000

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW2100 (Contract). Value: $500

The Sir Charles Lowe Moot Prize

Awarded to the best senior advocate in the annual Law Students' Society mooting competition. Value: $300

The Sir Owen Dixon International Commission of Jurists Law Prize for International Law

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW4122 (International law). Value: $200

The Supreme Court Exhibition Prize

Awarded to the student who is selected by the Chief Justice on the recommendation of the dean of the faculty for having written the best final year honours thesis.

The Supreme Court Prize

Awarded to the student selected by the Chief Justice on the recommendation of the dean of the faculty as the best student completing final year Bachelor of Laws with Honours.

The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Prize for Elements of Forensic Medicine

Awarded to the student with the best result in LAW5110 (Elements of forensic medicine). Value: $200
