The courses offered by the faculty are intended to attract students from a
variety of backgrounds who are interested in computers and information
technology. Some courses are designed for students who have a sound grounding
in mathematics and an interest in the engineering and scientific aspects of
computers. Others are designed for students whose interests lie more in the
development of computer-based information systems for commerce and industry and
the use of computers to solve problems encountered in the management of
organisations. When selecting a course, particular attention should be paid to
the prerequisite studies.
Students seeking specific career advice and course counselling are advised to
contact the relevant course coordinator(s). General careers information can be
obtained from the Monash Student Employment and Careers Services on
9903 2114 (Caulfield) or 9905 4170 (Clayton).
