In conjunction with other faculties, the Faculty of Education offers a
series of double degrees designed to enable students to qualify for a wide
range of employment.
These double degrees are designed to provide students with opportunities for
careers in both education and other occupations such as science, computing,
business, and music. They also allow students to undertake studies in other
faculties in the company of students who are not preparing for careers in
education.
These degrees are not all available on each campus. Nor do they all prepare
students for all levels of teaching.
The following table shows where each is available and for which level each
is designed. It should be noted that the Gippsland campus offers both a general
and two specialist arts degrees targeted at journalism, and psychology and
humanities.

The faculty offers a double degree in arts and education on each campus.
A generalist arts degree is available at each campus. The Clayton education
degree is designed for secondary and AVET teachers, whilst the Peninsula course
is for primary teachers, and the Gippsland course is for both primary and
secondary teachers.
At Gippsland, two specialist arts degrees are offered: journalism, and
psychology and humanities. These degrees are designed for both primary and
secondary teachers.
