In addition to the services provided to local students, the faculty provides
additional pastoral care, where necessary, for its international students.
There are also several international students' activities throughout the year.
Local students are most welcome at these. Orientation sessions are held at the
beginning of each semester for all new students and orientation
handbooks provide information about these services.
A mentor system is available at the Clayton campus for new students if desired.
This is especially important for those students doing research degrees.
Further orientation sessions focusing on the demands of the local educational
culture are held for students from overseas on this campus and the
international student support officer provides ongoing orientation as needed.
