International students

General information

Monash University currently has over 2000 international students living overseas studying courses by distance education. International students are those students who do not have permanent resident status in Australia.

Singapore and Hong Kong

Many of these students are enrolled independently and are pursuing their studies on an individual basis. In both Hong Kong and Singapore some Monash distance education courses are conducted in conjunction with a local tertiary institution. These local institutions provide administrative and student support services to these students. Further details may be obtained from the TMC Advanced Seminars in Singapore and the Centre for PACE at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Kowloon.

Attendance requirements

It should be noted that some courses and subjects have compulsory on-campus attendance requirements, which make enrolment by international students inappropriate. Please check this in the course and subject descriptions contained in this book.
