This course by distance education has been designed to provide graduates in
banks and non-bank financial institutions with intensive training in banking
and finance subjects.
On completion of the course students should:
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution plus a minimum of three years relevant employment experience. Applicants without a first degree who have a minimum of six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the section on executive certificates.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the School of Business and Electronic Commerce as to the 1999 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
The graduate certificate is normally completed in two semesters of part-time study.
This course is offered by distance education from the School of Business and Electronic Commerce.
Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for subjects considered to be the equivalent of particular subjects in the course of study. Please refer to the course director for further details.
As this course is primarily designed to allow graduates in the banking and finance industries to satisfy the educational requirements for entry to senior associate status with the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance, applicants should approach that organisation to obtain clear guidance given their educational background and experience of the subjects to be selected to achieve this purpose.

Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate of Business (Banking) may apply for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Business (Banking).
