Introduction

The Monash University Berwick campus opened on its present site in February 1996, after commencing in 1995 in temporary accommodation at the Casey Institute of TAFE premises. The School of Communication, Tourism and Business is a joint school of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Business and Economics, and staff from this faculty who teach at the Berwick campus are listed under their respective departments in the lists of officers and staff at the front of this handbook.
All programs offered at Berwick campus are double programs; either double degrees in which students undertake studies for two Monash degrees at the same time, or double awards involving concurrent studies for a Monash degree and a Chisholm Institute (formerly Casey Institute of TAFE) diploma.
For explanation of subject codes see 'Details of subjects' sections towards the back of this handbook.
