Summer semester

At the Caulfield, Clayton, Gippsland, Peninsula and Monash Sunway campuses a selection of subjects is offered in each summer semester. To enrol in any of these subjects, a student must make application on the appropriate form, which may be obtained from the faculty office. Application for summer semester subjects offered at the Caulfield and Peninsula campuses may also be made via the WWW. The closing date for applications is normally mid-October, but may vary for Caulfield/Peninsula subjects; students are advised to consult the relevant faculty office for the actual closing date.
All prerequisites must be met and a student whose results are not available by the date of the summer semester enrolment may be permitted to enrol on a provisional basis, on the understanding that if the results make the student ineligible for enrolment in a particular subject, withdrawal from that subject is required.
At the Peninsula campus students may enrol normally in up to twelve points of subjects but this may be increased to eighteen points provided that a credit average is achieved in both the most recent twenty-four points of study and in the previous semester of study.
At Gippsland, summer semester subjects are offered by distance education with a one week compulsory residential school in December.
The fee assessment for the summer semester subjects will occur with the first semester assessment in the following January as the summer semester is considered to be part of the forthcoming academic year.
