A prize of $100 is awarded for excellence in a major course component which is clearly connected with the practice or application of chemistry in industry. The prize is awarded in odd-numbered years on the recommendation of the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering to the top student in the subjects CHE3071.12 and CHE3082.12 (Chemical engineering science), and in even-numbered years on the recommendation of the head of the Department of Chemistry to the top student in one of the pairs of subjects CHM3011/3022 (Chemistry) or CHM3031.12/3042.12 (Chemistry). The prize may be shared.
