Special emphasis will be given to the interrelationships between these systems and to their control in the healthy human. Consideration will also be given to advanced aspects of the cellular communication and signalling mechanisms which underpin many of the physiological responses of these systems. Students should note that a quota will apply for entry into third-year physiology, and consequently that entry into this subject will be competitive.
