This subject is designed for students wishing to combine third-year studies in physics with studies in another subject. It can be taken together with another twelve-point third-year subject, including PHS3142 (Theoretical physics). The subject consists of four units which may be chosen from of the third-year physics units offered by the department. The compulsory units are `Nuclear physics' and `Solid state physics (lattice and electronic properties)'.
