Physics

4 points * Two 1-hour lectures/problem classes per week and one 5-hour laboratory class per fortnight * Second semester * Clayton * Prerequisite: as for PHS2022

This subject consists of two units from either PHS2022 or PHS2322 to allow students to study the maximum physics and applied physics material in second semester. The two units are chosen either from `Quantum physics', `Atomic and nuclear physics' and `Thermodynamics', or from `Instrumentation applications', `Telecommunication physics' and `Acoustics'. Students who have the necessary prerequisites may take any two units from PHS2022 and PHS2322 as a terminal subject.

Examinations (2 x 1.5 hrs): 67% * Laboratory work: 33%
