Psychology of penological institutions
Half semester * 3 hours per week
In this half-semester subject the structures and dynamics of human organisations in general and penological institutions in particular are examined. Issues pertaining to organisational behaviour explored are individual characteristics, social processes in groups, organisations as systems, prisons as communities and the effects of cultural and community attitudes on prisons.

Seminar presentation: 30% * Written paper: 70%
