The application of inviscid fluid dynamics to atmospheric flow, motion in a rotating frame, Coriolis force and geostrophic flow. Stratified fluids and the thermal wind. Pressure coordinates. Balanced curved flow. Ekman boundary layer. Vorticity equation. Gravity waves.
