Organisational psychology

Subject value of 1.0 (6 point) * First semester * Two 1-hour lectures and one 2-hour tutorial per week * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisites: GAS2504 plus two subjects from GAS2501, GAS2502 and GAS2503, or equivalent second-level subjects

This subject is designed to introduce the student to all aspects of human behaviour in organisations - the way organisational members are affected by an organisation and its environment, and the way an organisation is affected by its members and its environment. Emphasis is placed on systems-oriented organisational psychology, and on viewing organisational members as part of a work and social system. For distance education students attendance at weekend schools is strongly recommended but not compulsory.

Assessment

Literature review: 40% * Final examination: 60% * A pass on the examination is a requirement for successful completion of this subject
