Technology studies project

6 points * Full-year * 3-4 hours per week * Distance * Prerequisites: at least 4 units from the technology studies sequence

This subject enables the student to demonstrate understanding of the process of technological development and skill in applying the process. Each student will carry out an individual technological development project involving design, development and testing of a product or process. Relevant resources and restraints must be identified and utilised/addressed. Requirements to be met include preliminary research, literature, seminar presentation, and submission of interim and final reports. The subject is taught by seminars and supervised project work.

Assessment

Seminar presentation: 10% * Interim reports: 30% * Final report: 60%
