Psychology - personality and interpersonal behaviour

8 points * 3 x 1-hour lectures, 1 x 2-hour workshop per week * Second semester * Caulfield/Peninsula * Prerequisites: APY2010

Personality - comparative study of the following theories: Sheldon, Freud, Jung, Eysenck, Kelly, Cattell, Maslow, Rogers. Interpersonal behaviour: small group formation, leadership and performance. Attitude formation and change. Person perception. Attribution theory. Aggression and assertive behaviour. Organisational behaviour. Research design and analysis. The nature of measurement, meta analysis, single subject designs, experimental research designs, survey sampling, random and stratified sampling, cluster and two-stage sampling.

Assessment

Examinations (5 hours): 60% * 2 laboratory reports: 30% * Seminar presentation: 10%
