ANT3022 will contain a unit on the functional anatomy of the upper limb to complete the study of human anatomy. In addition, this subject includes units in tissue injury and repair (which examines the causes and effects of injury to various tissues and the biological mechanisms of repair); cancer biology (which outlines the causes and consequences of cancer); reproduction and development (which focuses on experimental aspects of gametogenesis, fertilisation and embryogenesis); and haematology (which covers the cell and molecular biology of blood and blood-related diseases). Practical classes and related activities will provide students with experience in some laboratory techniques and in histological interpretation of selected features related to each unit.
