Explorations in human caring

The subject will explore further the concepts and meaning of caring in the community and nursing practices that enhance the standard of care. The major themes will be healing concepts and the use of complementary therapies; expressions of health and illness; collective caring; and caring in the home. Students will have the opportunity to develop beginning competency in the use of complementary therapies and more advanced home care nursing skills.
