Professional issues in primary health care practice

2 hours per week * Second semester * Peninsula

This subject explores ethical and legal issues relevant to primary health care nursing practice which allows the students to explore and develop a framework in which they can judge their standards of practice. Content includes study of law and morality; introduction to ethics and ethical principles; values in moral decision-making; common and statute law relevant to nursing; ethical dilemmas; ethical and legal decision making in primary health care.
