Health promotion

This subject is designed to provide the student with knowledge of different approaches to health promotion and develop competency in the design and implementation of a health promotion project. Specifically, the subject includes study of behavioural, educational and community development approaches to health promotion, analysing the relationship between health and human behaviour for individuals, groups and populations. The subject will provide the student with the opportunity to develop competency with working with groups, utilising different forms of media and planning, implementing and evaluating a health promotion program.

Assessment

Seminar presentation: 30% * Field work: 70%
