This subject provides students with the knowledge and skills required in rehabilitation and/or extended care nursing for the child into the adolescent period. Topics introduced include the scope of childhood and adolescence, and childhood and adolescent nursing; acute and chronic pain in children through to adolescence; the self-care phenomena; and stress, conflict and crisis in childhood and adolescence.
