This subject will explore the maintenance and promotion of health and issues related to health education within the community. The emphases will be on the theoretical bases of behaviour and consciousness and the processes and behaviours associated with groups. Topics introduced in this subject include theoretical bases of behaviour and consciousness - individual differences, group processes and behaviours, theories of conflict; models of health education; identifying, planning and designing educational programs; and evaluating health education programs.
