3 points * 3 hours per week * Second semester * Peninsula * Prerequisite: NSG2633, NSG2644

Group behaviours; conflict and conflict resolution; the individual in the health organisation; the nurse as part of the health team; role expectations and behaviours in nursing. Applications of health psychology to special areas in nursing: smoking, alcoholism, obesity and eating disorders; childbirth and paediatrics. The subject is taught by lectures and seminars.

Assessment

Workshop report:: 30% * Examination (1 hour): 70%
