Structure and function of muscles. Muscle disorders. Structure and function of bones. Bone disorders. Structure, function and malfunction of joints of the trunk and lower limbs. Structure, function and malfunction of muscles and joints of the head and upper limbs. Physiology of human sexuality. Fertilisation and implantation. Hormonal control during pregnancy. Embryology and foetal growth. Parturition. Cardiovascular and respiratory adjustments at birth. Premature delivery. Genetic influences on embryonic development. Congenital abnormalities. Human life cycle. The subject is taught by lectures, demonstrations and laboratory work.

Assessment

Examination (90 minutes): 50% * Anatomy theory and practical examination (90 minutes): 50%
