Applied psychology I

3 points * 3 hours per week * First semester * Peninsula

Nature and scope of psychology; biological bases of behaviour; consciousness and altered states of psychology; perception, learning, memory, cognition, emotions and motivation. Developmental psychology; lifespan developmental issues; psychosocial issues in each phase of the lifespan and coping with these. The subject is taught by lectures and workshops.

Assessment

Class test (1 hour): 30% * Examination (1 hour): 40% * Workshop presentations: 30%
