Renal medicine

Coordinators: Professor S Holdsworth (Medicine) and Dr C Browne (Physiology)

This subject will provide core material on the morphology, development and physiology of the urinary system and will integrate teaching of homeostatic, regulatory physiological processes in which the kidney plays an important role. It will provide a basis for the understanding of renal medicine. A series of seminar sessions will then serve to integrate the functioning of the kidney with other organ systems and provide a focus for the application of these principles to clinical medicine.
