Geriatric medicine
The primary aim of this program is to provide the undergraduate student with a knowledge and understanding of the ageing process and how it impacts on normal physiological function, pathological processes, therapeutics and social function. It also aims to provide detailed teaching on subjects central to the practice of geriatric medicine and to encourage respect for older people, belief in their dignity, their right to self-determination and quality of life.
Assessment
Assessment is at the level of `satisfied faculty requirements' (SFR), as above
