Forensic medicine
Students attend the Victorian Institute of Forensic Pathology in the university's Department of Forensic Medicine for six half-days per week during the psychological medicine rotation. The subject provides an insight into issues of forensic pathology, clinical forensic medicine, forensic psychiatry and the ever-widening field of medico-legal matters. Presentations are made by students in these areas and are supplemented by exposure first-hand to material at the institute. Opportunities for self-assessment are provided. Students are encouraged to consider undertaking elective periods of study in the department.
