One 3-hour semiar weekly over 8 weeks * Summer semester
This subject will examine the legislative framework of the migration system as a result of the Migration Reform Act on 1 September 1994. It will also provide a constitutional and historical perspective. Topics covered will include applications on economic and family reunion grounds; refugees and illegals; the merits review system as well as judicial review. Options for reform will also be considered.
