This subject will study the rationale for and the principles underpinning the study of labour relations, together with a survey of recent international trends in both collective bargaining and trade unionism. Areas of study will include the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe (including Great Britain and Germany) as well as the Australian system of conciliation, arbitration and enterprise bargaining.
