Restrictive trade practices 515

This subject deals with the restrictive trade practices provisions of the Commonwealth Trade Practices Act. Particular attention is given to the forms of conduct prohibited by those provisions, namely price fixing, resale price maintenance, price discrimination, misuse of market power, exclusive dealing, the making or giving effect to anti-competitive agreements and the carrying out of certain mergers. Reference will also be made to enforcement, remedies and authorisations under the Act.

Assessment

Optional written research assignment (3000 words): 30% * Examination (2.5 hours or 3.5 hours): 70% or 100%
