The aim of this subject is to develop skills in drafting of a kind not limited to the specialised techniques of the conveyancer, but extending to the wider field of general activities in which graduates may be involved in legal practice. The subject will be taught in three stages: (1) a general introduction to the principles and techniques of drafting; (2) the development of the skills of the student through completion of exercises based on commonly used legal forms and documents in both litigious and non- litigious areas of practice; (3) practice in the preparation of more advanced documents for a variety of conveyancing and commercial agreements and transactions.
