This subject will involve a detailed study of the major international and regional human rights documents. Current international and regional structures for the redress of human rights grievances will be examined. Reference will be made to relevant decisions of the International Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights as well as to outstanding human rights decisions of the superior courts of various countries. The subject will also look at the changing role of lawyers in relation to human rights.
