General theory of law. The subject is designed as an introduction to some of the principal contemporary theories of law and the principal issues in legal theory. The focus of the subject will be the debate between legal positivism and its critics, which concerns the relationship between law and morality. The main authors whose work will be studied are Austin, Hart, Fuller, Dworkin and Raz.
