School of Engineering, Caulfield, Student Excellence Award

The school will provide a prize consisting of a plaque to all students achieving first class honours.

Institution of Engineers Australia, Monash University, Caulfield

A prize of $100 awarded to the top final-year degree student in the School of Engineering, Caulfield.

Division of Civil Engineering

A prize of $150 is to be awarded to the outstanding final-year student in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Computing) course.

A prize of $150 is to be awarded to the student with the top overall performance in the final-year civil engineering design subjects CVE4111.05 (Civil engineering design I) and CVE4112.05 (Civil engineering design 2) in the Bachelor of Applied Engineering (Civil and Computing) course.

Timber Promotion Council

A prize of $200 is to be awarded, at the discretion of the lecturer in the subject CVE3131.02 (Timber engineering), to a student displaying a special interest in, or aptitude for, timber design. Timber Promotion Council provide further support in the conduct of this course to a total of $2000.

Pryda (Aust.) Pty Ltd

A prize of $200 awarded to the student with the best overall performance in the third-year subjects CVE3121.03 (Structural engineering 3) and CVE3122.04 (Structural engineering 4).

Melbourne Water

Two prizes of $250 to be awarded, at the discretion of the head of the Division of Civil Engineering, to the student or students exhibiting outstanding overall performance in (i) the level-three subjects CVE3161.03 (Hydraulics), CVE3171.02 (Public health engineering) and CVE3162.06 (Hydrology) and (ii) in the subject ENC4012 (Computer applications 7C).

Graduate Diploma in Municipal Engineering

Municipal Engineering Foundation Prize for the top student completing the course: $200 plus one year's subscription to the Institute of Municipal Engineering Australia.

Municipal Engineering Foundation Management Prize for the student obtaining the highest aggregate marks in the management units 250.

Vicroads Road and Traffic Engineering Prize $300.

Vicroads Planning Prize 300.

Division of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering

Division of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering Prize

Awarded to the best first-level Bachelor of Engineering student who has chosen to study electrical engineering.

Siemens Prize (Communications)

Awarded to the best final-level Bachelor of Engineering communications project student.

Siemens Prize (Power)

Awarded to the best final-level Bachelor of Engineering power engineering student.

Robert Bosch (Australia) Prize

Awarded to the best third-level Bachelor of Engineering electrical engineering student.

M M Cables Prize

Awarded to an outstanding third-level Bachelor of Engineering electrical engineering student.

D K and G Anderson Prizes

Awarded to outstanding students in level two and four of the Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Division of Mechanical Engineering

APMA Pump Studies Prize

The Australian Pump Manufacturers' Association has provided $500 worth of awards to be given for the best student project in the area of pumps and the best student in second year studying fluids and energy.

Brian Sullivan Award

Awarded to the most improved second-year industrial engineering student. The award consists of $100 plus software, manuals and books to the value of $250.

Second-Year Mechanical Engineering Design Prize

A prize of $100 will be awarded to the top student in second-year mechanical engineering design.

J L Kepert Memorial

One prize of $100 to the top student in final year thermodynamics or thermodynamics project.

Top Final-Year Student in Mechanical Engineering Prize

A plaque and $150.

Top Final-Year Student in Industrial Engineering Prize

A plaque and $150.

Project Prizes

The groups completing the best mechanical and industrial engineering projects in third and fourth level may be considered for and award of a $100 prize in each group.
