Interfaculty subject
Students enrolled in the second, third or fourth levels of the course
are required to complete at least one elective subject in the humanities or
social sciences in fulfilment of the requirements of subsection 2.12, paragraph
7.1.3 of the BE regulations. These so-called `interfaculty subjects' are
normally of approximately forty contact hours but under some circumstances a
more able student may, with the approval of the faculty board, on the
recommendation of the head of the engineering department concerned, be allowed
to enrol for a more demanding subject. A list of approved interfaculty subjects
will be published just before pre-enrolment in October each year.
