Professional recognition of courses
The undergraduate engineering courses at the Clayton, Caulfield and
Gippsland schools are accredited for the purpose of admission to membership of
the Institution of Engineers, Australia (IEAust). The undergraduate courses at
Caulfield and the Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering at Clayton are
also recognised for the purpose of admission to the Australian Computer
Society. The Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering received provisional
IEAust recognition in 1993. Full recognition is expected in 1994 now that
students from the first intake have graduated.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Engineering) at Gippsland
has received preliminary assessment for professional recognition from the
Institution of Engineers, Australia and will be submitted for recognition to
the Australian Computer Society.
The BTech(AMT) has received preliminary assesment for professional recognition
from the IEAust.
