One of those offered in the first semester, and one of those offered in the second semester as set out in subject list I.

* Students unable to take LAW3400 (Property 300) because of an unavoidable timetable clash may seek the permission of the subdean, Faculty of Law, to enrol in either LAW3300 (Criminal law and procedure 300) or LAW3200 (Constitutional law 300) instead.

Fifth and following years

Chemical engineering * Materials engineering * Mechanical engineering

Three remaining compulsory law subjects including LAW3100 (Administrative law 300), plus LAW5500 (Moot court 500) and optional law subjects totalling 180 value units.

Civil engineering

LAW3100 Administrative law 300

LAW3200 Constitutional law 300

LAW3300 Criminal law and procedure 300

LAW3400 Property 300

LAW5500 Moot court 500

Optional Law subjects totalling 180 value units.

Note: Chemical, materials and mechanical engineering students may expect to complete the remaining law subjects in a further two years. Civil engineering students must expect to take longer, unless subjects are completed in law summer semesters. All students may reduce the length of the course by astute use of the summer semesters in law.
