Engineering mathematics 1

4 points * 52 class hours * First semester * Caulfield * Prerequisites: TEC2306

Function analysis: circular and inverse circular functions; hyperbolic functions and inverses; further methods of integration. Partial differentiation: derivatives of functions of several variables; application to errors, extreme value problems and least squares curve fitting. Linear algebra: matrices and determinants, systems of linear equations. Series: infinite series; convergence, McLaurins series and applications. Second-order differential equations: solution and second-order differential equations.

Assessment

Examinations (3 hours): 75% * Assignments and tests: 25%
