Transducers: strain gauges, proximity detectors and their circuits. Accelerometers. Pressure, temperature and flow measurement. Code readers. Application of electronics: television, radio and electronic communication. Electronic instrumentation, amplification transfer function. Feedback and operational amplifiers. Digital instrumentation and systems. Electrical measuring instruments. D/A and A/D conversion, communication protocols. Modulation concepts. Effects of bandwidth and noise.

Assessment

Examinations (2 hours): 70% * Tests and assignments: 30%
