Manufacturing engineering thesis or project (finish)

A nominal three hours per week in the second semester to undertake an investigation of an industrial problem related to advanced manufacturing technology. The investigation may be either university or industry-based and, where possible, be developed on the theme of application of the appropriate AMT to improve the productivity economically resulting in an enhanced competitive edge for the Australian manufacturing industry. The investigations may be supported by literature searches, design and development of experimental equipment and testing of the product, and field studies. The students will work singly or in groups depending upon the complexity of the project undertaken.

Assessment

Written (50,000 words): 80% * Practical work/Fieldwork/Seminar participation: 20%
