Introduction to the modes of heat transfer. Steady state and unsteady state heat conduction. Properties and laws of thermal radiation. Heat exchange by radiation. Free and forced convective heat transfer in incompressible flow with an introduction to mass transfer. Basic two-phase heat transfer. Practical heat transfer in engineering systems.
